Working Girl

Well folks. I've been at work for a week now. And I've about had a mental breakdown. Being a working mom is so hard. I about cried to Coleman on Thursday night. There's so much to be done ALL the TIME. Laundry, cooking dinner, cleaning, not to mention taking care of a 7 week old, AND trying to keep up with lesson planning! I'm barely able to plan for the next day! And time goes by SO fast during planning. I have first block plan, but it's only 50 minutes. I'm used to 72! It's hard. Not to mention I'm teaching two classes I've never taught before. Well, ISS I kind of have. It's supposed to be government and economics but it hasn't been. But Christi (the other girl who teaches what I teach) and I have decided to go rogue and do our own thing. I think it's gonna work out for the best. There's no book, nothing. I also teach Psychology which is a great class and I'm gonna love it but I've never taught it before. Luckily my friend Stephanie has and gave me all her stuff! So I think that'll make life a lot easier.

Which brings me to my next thing. School. I absolutely LOVE IT. I thanked Mr. Oakley so much for hiring me on Friday. The kids are awesome and you can tell they really wanna be there and work really hard. My faith in the teaching profession has been restored! They were so excited to see me on Wednesday. My collab teacher Jason thinks they're still in the honeymoon phase with me, but the past 3 days have been awesome. He's pretty awesome too. He does so much and it's great.

Some of you may know by now, but my mom is our babysitter. She couldn't stand the thought of someone else with him (neither could I) and she was like having anxiety attacks about it. So she asked her boss if she could work from our house and he said yes! This past week as been a pretty good trial run and I think it's gonna work out! It would be even better if Coleman gets on the fire department but I love having my mom watch him. I worry more about her than I do him!

That's pretty much all for now. I'll leave you with a few pics. . .

I love this little boy!!!!!

I found him sleeping like this and it looks like he's praying. So sweet!

Well I can't figure out how to turn it. But my two fav guys :)

P.S. I can't believe Teddy is almost 2 months old. I was folding some of his newborn clothes (for someone special!!!!) and I almost cried. I can't believe how big he's gotten. It's hard to believe he used to fit in something so small just a few weeks ago.

He's started to stand if you hold him up. He's REALLY strong. He loves doing that! He also is way more vocal now. I definitely think we'll have a talker on our hands!!!!
