Here he is at the doctor
He weighs a whopping 17 lbs 1 oz (40th%) and he was 26 1/4 in (40th%) but his head size was like 85-90th%! So again, just my long and skinny little man. He is so good at sitting up it's unreal. He also is about to start crawling! He can go into a crawling stance from sitting, he can pull himself up to a crawling stance from laying on his belly. He is so close!!!!!!! He can crawl, but when he does, he goes backwards. Not exactly getting the hang of it yet! But he is almost there. If you hold out your fingers, he can also pull himself up with just his legs! So my mom thinks he might almost start walking before he even crawls! How do you know your baby is officially not a baby anymore? We had to lower his crib down to the lowest setting this past weekend. We don't want him to take any high dives outta there!
He is also SO close to saying Da-da. He'll put his thumbs in his mouth and say it that way. But not without them in his mouth yet. He'll start by saying "yayaya" and go into a "d" sound. We've been practicing so much! He knows who "dada" is, cuz last night, I asked Theodore who Coleman was, and he stuck his finger in his mouth and said very close to "dada". We're almost there!
I finally had to break down last week and give him some Tylenol. He has gotten SO many teeth in in the past few weeks. He has 5 teeth officially, and more on the way! It's weird how he only has teeth on the left side of his head. He has his front bottom two, the left one next to those, his left front tooth, and left incisor. But his right incisor is about to come through and I bet his right front tooth is soon to follow. Poor little guy! Sleeping has been rough the past few weeks. Here's hoping it gets better!
Eating solids has been going really well too! He has finally mastered the art of not sticking his tongue out for everything! He's tried carrots, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, squash, apples, bananas, chicken noodle, and mac and cheese. . . I think. He loves all the vegetables, but he's not really crazy about fruits. He HATED bananas. Apples were ok. I thought maybe he just didn't like the baby food bananas, so I mashed up a real one and gave it to him. That was a no-go as well. Apples were actually applesauce, so I think he really must be my child. I hate applesauce and apple juice but LOVE real apples. So I'm hoping that's hopefully the case. I thought he would like bananas better since I ate them all the time while pregnant. But my mom said yesterday he LOVED mac and cheese! Guess he is related to his cousin Maddux! I was quite the mac and cheese connoisseur when I was little and so is Maddux.
In other news, I have been trying to do Insanity everyday. I started about two weeks ago and have been pretty diligent about doing it after school when I get home. I haven't lost any weight yet but I'm definitely toning up. My legs are starting to look so muscular!
Coleman and I have officially started building a house! We are so incredibly excited and ready to get out of an apartment! We are building with Ball Homes and are experience has been wonderful! We officially signed the contract last week and they should start breaking ground next week. Our closing date is July 15th, which it could be ready before then.
It might be hard to tell, but clockwise going from the top, those are our cabinets, the tile upstairs, the carpet, and our vinyl in the kitchen/breakfast area.
Those are our cabinets, the countertops, and the vinyl floor.
It's going to be super nice and super awesome! It's 3262 sq ft. The floor plan is the Cavanaugh if you want to go to the Ball Homes website and check it out. We already bought our washer and dryer (Samsung) because we were able to get a super good deal from President's Day. I bought Teddy's bathroom set (jungle animals from Target). We're still trying to sell our leather couches so text me or message me if interested! There's nothing wrong with them, we're just wanting a sectional and won't have room for them.
March is an extremely busy month. On Friday, Theodore will be 7 months old! My how time flies. Last weekend was my friend Amanda's baby shower for her little girl Madelyn. Can't wait for her arrival! This weekend is Saturday School and my friend Tara's baby shower for her little girl Kynlee. It's the year of the girls! Last year I think was the year of the boys. The 16th, is Saturday School again and the Shelby Co/PLD baseball game. They're honoring the 2003 PLD State Champs team so I wanna go. I kept stats for that team. It's also Coleman's mom's birthday weekend! The 23rd we're going to Nashville for my sorority sister Clare's wedding! Can't wait to have a blast there! And the next weekend is Easter and the beginning of Spring Break! Like I said, can you keep it all straight?! Me either lol.
I will try to blog again soon. Hopefully with some videos of Theodore's first words and him crawling! Cross your fingers! I'll leave you with what is probably my favorite picture in the whole world:
Happy Belated Valentine's Day :)
P.S. Follow me on Instagram for lots of cute Teddy pics.
