Growing Paynes: 2 Weeks Old

Well yesterday was Teddy's two week birthday. I can't believe he's already so big! Motherhood is definitely coming along. We finally got Teddy to sleep in his crib at nights, during the days he sleeps in his pack n play. Life has slowly gotten into a "normal" routine. He feels much heavier and packing on the weight now that we've switched to formula. Today was our first day of using the Target Up&Up brand of formula. He hasn't had any sort of reaction to it, so that's gonna save us a BUTT ton of money. Thanks for the tip Liz!

Also, thanks to the all the moms who suggested the Miracle Blanket. Like I said on Facebook, if you don't have one, GET ONE. It is a LIFESAVER! And there is a REASON they call it the MIRACLE blanket. My mom calls it his straight jacket, but it makes him so sleepy and he sleeps for like 3-4 hours at a time. It keeps their arms pinned down so they can't wrestle out of it.

I've slowly but surely been getting him out of the house. We take daily walks to the mailbox. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings on Saturday for lunch. It makes me SUPER nervous, and I get really anxious but he's been good so far. Those walks are good for Mommy too because I'm losing lots of baby weight! I think a lot of my weight was fluid!

Last night was Mommy's first night ALONE with him. I was really freaked out but we did alright! I finally got to shower too. I won't tell you how long it's been since I had :/ As a reward, my wonderful hubbie is watching Teddy on Saturday night so Mommy can have time with her bestie who is in all the way from Texas! Can't wait to spend some time with friends :)

My friend Amy had her baby on Monday night. We've been going on this pregnancy journey together and now Teddy has his first playmate!!!! Can't wait to get him and Chloe together.

So that's where we are now. Not much to report. We have a happy, healthy baby boy and we could not be more blessed. For all of my side of the family, we will take him down home on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend so everyone can meet him. I'll leave you with some pictures of our happy, sweet baby.
