A couple of posts ago, I briefly mentioned I had interviewed for a job. Well that job was at Shelby Co High School. I can now say that I have been hired by SCHS and cannot WAIT to move back towards Lexington. I prayed and prayed for 2 weeks that I would get that job. I was so worried because I will be missing the first couple of weeks of school with the baby. I did so much research before I interviewed about how to act, what should I say about my pregnancy because legally they could not ask. Luckily I had 2 familiar faces in the interview and at the end I told them when I was due, etc and all 3 of them in the interview said not to worry, we've all had August babies and we all understand. We can work around it! I am so thankful that on May 31, they called and offered me the position!!!! I jumped up and down and told her that I was going to cry! As my grandpa said, "This opportunity would have never come in million years again in your condition." Shelby County is like my dream job anyways. I've heard so many excellent things about the community, the district, etc. I cannot wait to see what is in store for me there. Coleman and I are very excited and I know our families are too. I so want to be close to my mom. She's my best friend and I'm gonna need her here in about 7 weeks or so!
So now the journey begins on where to live, rent or buy, etc. We'll be in Lexington the next 3 weekends but I'm hoping that we will find something fast. I think our main area is Frankfort or Shelbyville. Of course, you know me, I'm so anxious on getting the room ready, childcare for when I actually go back to work, MOVING, there are just so many things to think about! Please pray for us as we begin this whole new journey.
Also, continue to pray for my friends Jim and Amanda. Their baby Sarah was born 10 weeks early but she is doing beautifully! She's up to 3 lbs now and gets to move back to their hospital in town soon. Please pray for a family friend as well. She was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease. We love her very much and want her to be well!
Good on ya, Phelps! Glad to hear you're moving closer to the motherland :)
