Movement!

Man oh man, has Teddy been moving and shaking! After we had our 20 week ultrasound, we went to Lexington that weekend. That Friday night, the 16th, as Coleman and I were going to sleep, I felt Teddy move for the first time! I'd felt him rolling around before, it kind of feels like your stomach is growling but lower, but nothing like this! This was definite kick! It felt like little bubbles were bursting inside. Like water boiling and a bubble finally comes to the top and bursts. I was like, "COLEMAN! Give me your hand! Feel right here," praying that Coleman could feel on the outside what I was feeling on the inside. And he did! I think Teddy moved two more times that night. It was so exciting. It definitely makes the pregnancy feel more real.

Ever since then, Teddy has been moving around so much! It's like, "Why haven't I been feeling this the whole time?" But I can usually only feel it before bedtime or when I'm lying on the couch.

Last night, as Coleman and I were going to sleep, I felt Teddy move as usual. But this was a different movement. It was a steady kick for about a minute straight. Usually his movements are sporadic and not as in sync. I told Coleman that I thought maybe Teddy had the hiccups! Everyone said that is the strangest feeling and it really was. Forgive the bluntness, but it felt like my uterus had the hiccups. It was just a really strange feeling! I hope he is having a blast in there.

I will try to take some more pictures of my growing belly. Everyone at work and all my students keep saying how cute my belly is and how I'm getting so big. It's not that I don't love being pregnant, I've had a really easy pregnancy so far, but I just want Teddy to be here already! I want these next 4 months to just fly by!!!
