As we shared with our family and friends on Saturday, Coleman and I are going to have a bouncing baby BOY on August 4! We are very excited. We both thought it was a girl, but I think I'm more excited to have a boy first. Plus I hope he has Coleman's blue eyes! My biggest fear is that he is ok. I've been trying to take good care of him! I also fear being inadequate somehow or that I'll do something wrong but I think every new mother feels that way.
Coleman thankfully got a job with Enterprise Rent-a-Car. He started yesterday there. It is a GREAT job with excellent benefits. We were so worried about me not finding a job, or him not being able to transfer back to Lexington because we'd like to be close to our families when Teddy is born. However, just pray in your heart of hearts that everything works out for the best.
I guess also I should back-pedal a little bit and explain our situation. Coleman and I met at our mutual friends wedding on May 14, 2011. He was the Best Man and I've been a friend of the bride since elementary school. We have been inseparable ever since! He moved in with me in Madisonville back in October and then we found out we were pregnant on December 7. Believe me, it came as quite a shock to both of us! I thought it was just the stomach flu because I was so nauseous. We went to the doctor and he said let's do a pregnancy test and then we found out it was positive!
I've had an extremely easy pregnancy so far. Hardly any morning sickness, except for a few times while brushing my teeth. I'm starting now to get a little baby bump. Those of you that know me know my affinity for clothes and hardly ANY of my clothes fit anymore! Last week, February 22, we went to the doctor for our check up, and the sonogram tech told us that our baby was a little baby boy! It was pretty obvious (look at the pic). I am around 18 weeks along, due August 4th. We had a big gender reveal party this past Saturday where we told all of our families that he was a boy. My mom cried! There were like 30 people there. I'll try to post some pics of the cake. I know that's not how gender parties are SUPPOSED to work, but Coleman and I were the only ones that knew, no one else. So it was fun for everyone in our family to find out this way.
Well that's all I can think of for now. I will keep everyone updated on the Payne family and baby Teddy. We go back to the doctor on March 15 for the big 20 week ultrasound to see how all his organs are functioning. Post more soon!

Congratulations on having a boy! It would have been super awkward for you to name a baby girl “James Dean”. I will keep your blog bookmarked and check back for more pictures and updates.
