Winter break part 2

In case you've been living under a rock, we were out of school all last week for this polar vortex. It was actually really nice because Teddy was sick with a cold and an ear infection. His first one ever! I'm at home today because I do believe I have caught his cold. I've totally lost my voice and just feel generally icky.

Last week we didn't let him go outside because it was so cold but Saturday and Sunday was practically a heat wave! So Coleman and I bust out the sled he got for Christmas and let him play. Omg, he loved it! He wasn't necessarily wild about making snow angels but he loved sledding.

Coleman and I also saw Book of Mormon with Annie and her bf over MLK weekend. It was absolutely one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. I would not recommend seeing it if you can't handle satire! The creators of South Park wrote it, and in their words, "It's an atheist's love letter to religion."

What amazed me the most about being home with Teddy for 9 days was how much he is talking! He went from saying just a few words before Christmas to speaking in two word sentences! He says "want this" or "want that." Coleman was watching NBA and when I changed the channel he pointed at the tv and said "want baball." He has these baby genius board books and he can say at least 2-3 words from each book. There are 12 books total! And he's beginning to recognize things from outside the books too. Like he knows in the wild animals book what a tiger is and he can point a tiger out in other books too. We also watched Law and Order SVU a whole bunch, and while he doesn't necessarily watch it, I knew we needed to change the channel when he was playing and randomly turned around and said "DUN DUN." It was the funniest thing ever! I will try to add the video I have of it.

Pregnancy is going ok. We have a doc appt on Friday but it's just a check up. I'm glad to be in the second trimester now and I hope this morning sickness business goes away soon!
